Skills Enhancement Fund (SEF)
- Description:
This renewable grant is awarded directly to the company
for reimbursement of eligible training costs that
improve the skills of new and existing employees.
Qualifying firms may be eligible to receive a reimbursement
check of up to 50% of eligible training costs or $200,000,
whichever is less.
- Eligibility:
Firms that engage in training for basic skills, transferable
skills, company-specific skills, and quality assurance.
Awards are based on capital investment, quality of
jobs, quality of training, number of employees trained
and impact on the state and local economy.
- How to Apply:
First meet with state and local economic development
representatives to initiate application process. A
training budget forecast must be provided and, if
awarded a grant, recipients must establish a progress
schedule and complete regular progress reports. Call

Advance Indiana
- Description:
This Indiana Department of Workforce Development grant
addresses the needs of established Indiana companies
for a skilled workforce. It is designed to promote
lifelong learning opportunities for working Hoosiers
and provides a reimbursement of up to 50% of the costs
incurred through this training.
- Eligibility:
Training must develop the transferable skills of workers
by providing financial assistance to companies with
innovative programs for training their employees.
It is available over a two-year period and must result
in a portable credential for the employee participating
in the training.
- How to Apply:

representatives to initiate application process. The
Department of Workforce Development has an application
that must be completed and requires periodic progress

Tech Fund
- Description:
Designed to help Indiana businesses train their existing
information technology professionals, this grant program
reimburses companies up to 50% of the expenses incurred
in this process or $50,000, whichever is less.
- Eligibility:
Eligible training must result in a full-time employee
receiving a portable certification of systems administration,
systems engineering or software development; a professional
certification or other certification in advanced e-business
enabling applications. Awards are based on capital
investment, training type and number of employees
pursuing a transferable certification.
- How to Apply:

must submit progress report and expenses in order
